༺ 𝕸𝖔𝖑𝖑𝖞 ༻ :
Sometimes the person who is supposed to make you feel safest becomes the person you learn to protect yourself from. A mother can love her daughter and still hurt her, especially when her own anger, frustration, and pain are taken out on the child who is always there to absorb it. Instead of being a daughter, she becomes a punching bag for emotions that were never hers to carry. And while her mother pours her attention, patience, and understanding into her other children, she quietly becomes the one who is overlooked the one expected to be okay because nobody stops long enough to ask if she actually is. She learns to stay quiet, to swallow her sadness, and to convince herself that needing attention makes her selfish. Meanwhile, there is a growing emptiness inside her, a void that gets bigger every time she feels unseen, unheard, or less important. The saddest part is that her mother may never realise how deeply her daughter is struggling, because she is too busy looking everywhere else to notice the child standing right in front of her, silently begging to be seen.
