I didn’t understand it until after he was gone, but I stood outside one day with my grandfather when I was like five years old and then he was like do you smell that and it was the rain coming now? I enjoy it. I just wish I could enjoy that moment with him.

Yeah, I remember that because my grandma used to I smell the rain and my grandpa's belt it in his knees. I can smell the rain too

My Granddad would stick his finger in his mouth then up in the air and say we have about 1 hour before the weather comes. My daughter actually did this in a Miss Georgia interview speaking about her ambition to be a weather girl. The judges loved it! 🤣
