That's because on a piano, the frequencies are vibrating, never settling due to the momentum of the string. This makes it very hard to reproduce the audio of a piano through traditional linear drivers. Live piano is always going to be different than a recorded and translated signal. A lot of sound is assumed it's not really as clear as we think there's so many little pieces and facets to Audio that many do not see. It's nice to see somebody digging a little deeper.

I’ve been wondering what this thing was called! There was a video I saw where this guy would play a certain cord on his piano, which was hooked up to this computer, and then the computer was hooked up to this monitor. When he would play certain chords, it would change into some other 3-D figure. I was trying to figure out what it was called.
