You just made it more complicated, just put a line down the middle separating the 30cm and making the 84cm into 54cm making it a rectangle and a triangle, then you just solve the area for a rectangle and triangle and add them together

what if I just shape 1: 30×72 = 2160 shape 2: (84-30)*90/2= 2430 2160+2430=4590

It's a trapezoid, why not do (84+30)×72×1/2 or [(84+30)×72]÷2

lmao this is a trapezium,where only two opposite side are parrelell, the equation is A = (1/2) x (addition of the two parallel sides ) x height so A= (1/2) x 114 x 72 A= 4104 m^2 easy

easier way for the blue triangle: base=84 & height=72… so area= 84*72/2=3,024

omg i did make a false assumption, but still got right, because it is multiple choise. they need to make bigger differences in the sides or smaller in the results. i did take the upper part as a rectangel, 72x30 which is 2160. i assumed the bottom part is close to a Triangel with a 90° angle. and i just thought, that 72x54x0.5 will be close to the above 72x30. So it can not be C or D. and due to its closeness from 1944 to 2160 it has to be A

it is trapezium and it'f formula of area is= 1/2×h×(base 1 + base 2). 1/2×72( 30 + 84 ) = 1/2×72( 114 )= 36 ×114= 4104

you don't need all these calculations, it's a 7th grade problem.. (84+30)x72/2 = 4014. and you're wrong, there IS a formula for this kind of form : (lower base + upper base) x hight /2
