Latching is mechanical. ⠀ Behind nearly every baby who struggles to latch, one or both of the same culprits: ⠀ 🔹 The palate: it forms the suction tunnel baby depends on to feed, the slightest shift disturbs it 🔹 The first vertebra: it sits against the nerves commanding suction and swallowing, a misalignment disrupts the whole sequence ⠀ When one of these is restricted, baby physically cannot create proper suction.
