Easy Chocolate Croissants 🥐🍫 Dough * 500g bread flour * 220ml warm milk * 1 tbsp yeast * 2 tbsp sugar * 1 egg * 150g Greek yogurt (5% preferred, but lower fat works too) * 113g (1 stick) softened butter * ½ tbsp salt * 2 tbsp good-quality cocoa powder * 1–2 tbsp milk, if needed Filling * Nutella * Chocolate chips (optional) For brushing * 1 egg yolk * A little milk Method Mix the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Add the flour, egg, and yogurt and start kneading. Once the dough starts to come together, add the softened butter and salt. Knead for 10–12 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Divide the dough in half. Cover one half and set aside. Add the cocoa powder to the other half and knead for another 2 minutes, adding 1–2 tbsp milk if needed. Cover both doughs and let rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, or refrigerate for 2–3 hours (up to 12 hours). After the first rise, lightly roll out the plain dough. Place the cocoa dough in the center, wrap the plain dough around it, and seal well. Roll everything out together into a large circle, just like in the video. Sprinkle with a little chocolate chips (optional), then gently roll over the dough once more just to press them in. Cut into triangles as shown in the video. Add about 1 tsp Nutella to the wide end of each triangle and roll into a croissant shape. Place on a baking sheet and let rise again for at least 1 hour. Brush with egg yolk mixed with a little milk and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes, or until beautifully golden. Enjoy! 🤎🥐🍫 #croissant #chocolate #EasyRecipe #baking #Foodie
