@kholamuddasir: There's a short animated film called Macropolis. It's about two toys made in a factory — a cat with a deflected eye, and a dog with no leg. Because they don't match the mold, quality control rejects them. They're meant to be thrown away. But they escape. And out in the world, they figure out how to live as they are. The cat finds herself an eye patch. The dog builds himself a leg out of a stick. They don't "fix" themselves to look normal — they adapt, and they keep going. So many of our kids come into a world that already has a "normal" mold ready for them. And when they don't fit that mold, the world quietly (or not so quietly) starts treating them like something went wrong. But those toys weren't wrong. They were just made differently. And instead of trying to become "normal," they built their own way of moving through the world — a patch instead of an eye, a peg instead of a leg. Different tools, same determination. And in the end, someone comes along in the story who doesn't want the "normal" toys at all. Someone who was looking for exactly this — the different ones. Because for that one person, "different" wasn't a flaw. It was exactly what they needed. Your child is not a mistake that needs fixing to be accepted. They are not "less" because their path looks different from what a chart or a checklist expected. Somewhere, in some way, they are exactly, perfectly what someone needed.
