I feel like it was terrifying for everyone, because it was an army of N4zi (after all it was inspired by that time period) that wanted to wipe out whoever stood against their ideology and whoever wasn’t pureblood

Did you know that mcgonagle led all the slitherin first years back into their dormitories so that they wouldn’t watch their parents kill and get killed

They would have been terrified. Imagine a Slytherin watching their parent killing their teachers

In the books they evacuated all the children and all who didn’t want to fight through the tunnel from the room of requirements to Aberforth Dumbledores pub in hogsmead.

Imagine the fact that for most people their first year at hogwarts was magical and exciting. The first years here had to cope with torture and the battle of hogwarts

Love the edit♥️but students under the age of 17 were evacuated before the Battle of Hogwarts. Students aged 17 and over were free to choose whether to stay and fight or leave the castle. There were no first-year students present at the battle.

Yes they were evacuated but imagine watching your headmaster fight another teacher and have your first year dictated by deatheaters

In the book, the centaurs led the lands, the Hogwarts house elves including kreecher led fogting off death eaters and land creatures .Buckbeak and other hippogriffs in the skies helped bring down enemies and the giants by scratchinb their eyes, with the Winged horses/thestrals. Hagrid's twin giant helped too! too bad they didnt add it in the movies, it would be so cool
