It usually presents as a slow-growing, painless swelling on the face, scalp, neck, or trunk. Although often harmless, the cyst can become inflamed or infected, causing redness, tenderness, and discharge of foul-smelling material. Current medical literature describes complete surgical excision of the cyst wall as the definitive treatment to prevent recurrence.
