I’ve been to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon more times than I can count, but today was the first time I stumbled upon such an incredible sight — colorful hot air balloons floating across the sky! At first, I thought it was some kind of commercial tourist attraction. But then I discovered that it was actually the annual Page Balloon Regatta! 📍 Page, Arizona 📅 November 5–8, 2026 This year marks the 23rd edition of this wonderful local tradition! Hot air balloon pilots from all over the United States gather in this small desert town to fly together at sunrise. Watching those colorful balloons rise against the backdrop of red rock formations and endless blue skies was absolutely magical. What surprised me most was that this wasn’t just another tourist attraction designed to make money. It was a genuine community celebration, bringing together people who share a passion for hot air ballooning. Pilots come to fly, connect with fellow enthusiasts, and simply enjoy doing what they love. The festival also features street markets, music, and a spectacular evening balloon glow. 🎈 Festival Highlights: November 6: Morning balloon launches and an afternoon street fair. November 7: Morning balloon launches and the evening Balloon Glow. November 8: Final morning balloon launches. Experiences like this remind me that the best part of traveling isn’t always visiting famous landmarks. Sometimes, the most unforgettable moments are the ones you never planned.
