The way solche write Kyle i just realize he can write good male character but it just her prefence in man was a bad one and rich, i think she just prefence rich man she doesn't care if that man was bad or not. The way she write Kyle and the way Kyle problem is more realistic and the way Kyle will do anything to Layla even though he not as rich as matthias who can change law, the only flaw he have that he not have Noble status like matthias or have many money like matthias that he can change law.

I think the author purposely gave Matthias a higher status than Kyle so that he won't be able to actually have Layla, author also made Matthias friends with the crown prince which gave him more power. The power imbalance in this manhwa is basically just Matthias being the highest then Claudine, Kyle, and Layla that's why even both cl and kyle couldn't do anything further bc of matthias
