My cat loved to self soothe by suckling her own nipples for the first two years I had her, and she also wanted YOU to be INVOLVED. Like she’d come put a paw on your leg then go to town on her nips. My vet diagnosed her as a Lil Freak.

My cat started making these really strange vocalizations (I’m talking possessed by an eldritch creature type sounds) and when I showed my vet a video she said with all seriousness: "yeah some cats are just weird"

My cat got diagnosed with a behavioral disorder and the vet described it as ‘kitty autism and kitty adhd had a baby giving you cat a kitten of fun features.’

My cat was peeing outside the litter box, I took him to the vet, the vet checked him out then asked if anything had changed (we had recently changed the brand of his cat litter which he was also peeing in and using fine!) and the vet diagnosed him as “vindictive asshole” 😭 we changed his litter back and he stopped peeing outside the box

Last time I took my cat to the vet, she had seen the 18lbs on his chart and assumed he was an overweight cat, so when she finally got him to stand up and stretch out she literally let out a gasp and and said “oh my he’s just a really big boy” so I like to say he’s officially diagnosed as a big boy

My vet is also very smart but I very deadpan, no nonsense woman. And one time I took my cat in thinking she had a hernia, she was thoroughly checked out, then my vet goes "No hernia, just fat" and that was the end of the appointment. For 2 days I'd look at her and repeat "no hernia, just fat"

My cat froze up at the vet when I took her to a new one after moving so they were able to hold her (she hates being held) and walk her to the back. The vet was talking about how sweet she was on the way out. When he came back he had the falconry gloves on and officially diagnosed her as “spicy”

Reason 1 why I can’t be a vet: I don’t wanna see an animal suffer. Reason 2: every cat gets diagnosed with “cutie pie” disease and must return the next day for a dose of kisses

I'm really happy that this is just CH and not something that recently developed. They can live relatively normal lives with CH. His little prance is adorable, and I'm sure his vet staff fawn over him whenever he comes in (I know my coworkers and I would).

my grandparent's old cat, while blind and deaf, just started screaming as he moved one day and my nan was concerned because why is he screaming(very quiet before) so took him to the vet, turns out he was just apparently using echolocation I guess, he moved better while screaming too, funky dude

Same thing happened at our first appointment with our cat Pepper. Stern, serious vet asking about his diet and what we feed him, follows it up with "its important to include some dry food into their diet because I think cats like to crunch" now anytime he eats something crunchy we say all stern "cats like to crunch"

My cats pupils vibrate and my vet held his face with both hands, looked deep into his eye and said “hmm, freaky”and said it probably has an explanation but its not the common reason as he has no other symptoms
