Just add a hole in the stud and put a small dowel rod in the end of the 2x4, so there wouldn't be any movement if bumped

we use 4x4 and turn em diagonal. rests better on the tree.

4x4's with the corners on the top and bottom are more sturdy and the saddle.wont roll off
