Scariest phrase ever… “I just don’t feel right”. Yep the crash cart is now outside their door!!! Cause that Blue Code is eminent.

What is pulse pressure? Is it the same as MAP? I'm Australian, we use different terms for some things.

Out of curiosity what do you do for patient A if you have these warning signs is there a way to prevent what’s coming? Or do you move the crash cart closer?

I hate it because you can’t call a rapid on them just because they say they don’t feel well, but you know something is about to happen when they say that so you have to wait

Restlessness, lowering BP. This was the best explanation I've ever heard.

Liz ER RN :
Patient one is bleeding and vitals hr is elevated - bp is compensated. Low bp is a late sign of bleeding. Also pts who are restless are in trouble.

HR elevated is always concerning imo, the “I don’t feel so great” the slowly increasing RR is another concern

It’s A. B is lying about their pain level. The blood pressure doesn’t support what they’re saying. But A is circling the drain.
