Plot Recap The Missing Brother: Sung-soo (Son Hyun-joo), a successful cafe owner with severe OCD, learns his estranged stepbrother, Sung-chul, has gone missing from a run-down apartment building. Sung-soo harbors deep guilt over framing Sung-chul for a sexual assault during their childhood to secure their adoptive parents' inheritance. The Strange Symbols: Investigating the slum apartment, Sung-soo notices odd codes carved next to each door (e.g., symbols representing gender and number of occupants). He meets a frightened neighbor named Joo-hee (Moon Jeong-hee) and her daughter, who accuse Sung-chul of spying on them. Soon after, Sung-soo finds the same symbols carved outside doors in his own luxury apartment building. The Twist: Sung-soo suspects his brother is stalking his family for revenge. However, he discovers Sung-chul's corpse hidden inside Joo-hee’s wardrobe. Joo-hee is the actual killer. She and her daughter are squatting psychopaths who murder apartment residents, steal their identities, and take over their homes. The Climax: Joo-hee tracks down Sung-soo's family at their high-rise penthouse to murder them and take over their luxurious home. Sung-soo returns just in time and threatens to burn the apartment down. Refusing to let "her" new home be ruined, Joo-hee desperately tries to put out the flames and burns to death. Ending: Sung-soo makes peace with his guilt, and his family moves away. In the final scene, a new family moves into the apartment, unaware that Joo-hee's young daughter is still hiding inside the wardrobe, watching them.
