So so proud of you girly!!! 🥹🤍 I was in such a similar place about 3 years ago. I went into the gym with the intention of getting stronger, but I wasn’t educated enough and unfortunately ended up developing an ED, which caused me to lose my period for almost 3 years.
I finally decided to truly commit to recovery about a year ago, and honestly, one of the hardest parts was accepting that gaining weight was something my body needed. I kept telling myself I was “recovering,” but deep down I wasn’t allowing myself to actually gain the weight because I wanted to believe I could heal without it. When I finally let go of that fear, trusted my body, and gave it what it needed, my period eventually came back naturally without any hormonal replacements.
I know how scary and frustrating it can feel, especially when you just want your body to feel normal again. But I promise, time and trust are such a huge part of this. Your body isn’t failing you — it’s trying to heal. 🤍 It took me over a year, so please don’t be hard on yourself if it doesn’t happen as quickly as you hoped. You’re doing the hard part right now, and that is something to be so proud of. Great things take time, and your body deserves that time and patience. You’ve got this girly!!! 🫶🏼
