You don't need six months to start noticing whether generosity comes naturally to a man. And I'm NOT talking about judging him by whether he takes you to the most expensive restaurant in town. A man can spend a fortune trying to impress you and still be deeply stingy 😂. So how can you tell the difference that early? Here are 9 things I’d pay attention to: 1. WATCH HOW HE CHOOSES THE DATE Did he put some thought into it, or is every plan designed around doing the absolute least? Generosity isn't about price. Coffee can be thoughtful. A walk can be thoughtful. I'm looking for whether he naturally thinks, “What would she enjoy?” rather than, “What's the minimum I can get away with?” 2. NOTICE HIS ENERGY WHEN THE BILL ARRIVES This tells you A LOT 😂. I'm not only watching whether he pays. I'm watching the energy around it. Does he comfortably handle it, or suddenly become tense and start making comments about how expensive your meal was? A generous man doesn't have to be wealthy, but giving doesn't seem to physically pain him. 3. WATCH HOW HE TREATS PEOPLE HE DOESN’T NEED TO IMPRESS The waiter gets his order wrong. How does he respond? Someone helps him. Does he say thank you? Does he tip appropriately where tipping is customary? It's easy to be generous toward the beautiful woman sitting across from you when he's trying to win you. Watch how he behaves when there's nothing romantic to gain. 4. NOTICE WHETHER HE’S GENEROUS WITH HIS ATTENTION Is he actually present? Or are you sitting across from him while he's checking his phone every six minutes? Generosity shows up in money, but also in attention, consideration, time and effort. 5. LISTEN TO HOW HE TALKS ABOUT MONEY AND WOMEN If every conversation somehow ends with him complaining about “gold diggers,” women being too expensive, his ex costing him money or how women shouldn't expect anything from men...listen. You don't need to debate him. You asked for sparkling water and somehow you've received a TED Talk on modern women 😂. Just collect the information. I actually talk about this in my guide, How to Manifest Love and Attract a Provider Man (you can download it through the link in my bio), because attracting a provider-minded man isn't simply about finding someone with money. Pay attention to his attitude toward giving, responsibility and contributing. 6. GIVE HIM AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE THOUGHTFUL Don't manufacture an emergency to test him. Just let normal moments happen. You mention you've had a long day. You're cold. You casually mention something you enjoy. Then watch. You're not dropping hints and expecting him to perform. You're noticing whether he naturally sees opportunities to make you comfortable or do something thoughtful. 7. WATCH WHETHER HE’S GENEROUS WHEN THERE’S NO APPLAUSE THIS is more revealing than an expensive dinner. Maybe he offers you the better seat without mentioning it. Makes sure you get home safely. Shares something useful. Helps someone nearby. Remembers something small you mentioned on the previous date. Generosity often appears in tiny moments where nobody is going to congratulate him. 8. NOTICE WHETHER EVERYTHING FEELS TRANSACTIONAL A generous man doesn't make you feel like every nice thing creates a debt. He shouldn't buy dinner and immediately behave as though he's purchased access to your body. He shouldn't give you something and keep reminding you what he did. A gift with an invoice attached isn't generosity 😂. 9. DON’T CONFUSE MONEY WITH GENEROSITY A man can earn a lot and hate sharing it. Another man can have far less and naturally be thoughtful, giving and happy to contribute. By date three, you can't know exactly what kind of partner he'll be long-term. But you CAN start noticing his default setting. Does giving seem to bring him pleasure, or does every act of generosity feel like something being extracted from him? That distinction tells you far more than the price of the restaurant. What’s the first thing you notice when trying to figure out whether a man is generous? 🤭
