this is getting scary. my four physicians are seriously contemplating selling to a big hospital system bc overhead is so dang high. staying open and continuing yearly staff raises are not sustainable. 😭

The hospital system in my area just “won over” the very last independent practice in my city, which also happened to be my doctor. That hospital system then decided to no longer accept BCBS (my insurance). So not only did I lose my doctor but I now have to travel at least 20 miles for any medical care whatsoever. I’m supposed to have a colonoscopy in November. Can’t wait for that long ass car ride after a horrible night of prep.

Thank you! I have been saying this for years! Everything else is going UP in cost but Insurance/medicare/medicaid is paying less! How does this make sense?
