Crispy Italian Sub Sliders
Makes 12 sliders
Ingredients
* 12 Hawaiian or potato slider rolls
* 6 oz thinly sliced deli ham
* 6 oz Genoa salami
* 6 oz pepperoni
* 6 oz sliced provolone
* ½ cup sliced banana peppers, well drained
* ½ small red onion, very thinly sliced
* 1 cup finely shredded lettuce
* ¼ cup Italian dressing
Garlic Butter Topping
* ¼ cup butter, melted
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* 1 tbsp grated Parmesan
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Slice the entire slab of rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.
2. Place the bottom half on a lined sheet pan. Layer with ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, banana peppers and red onion.
3. Add the top half of the rolls.
4. Mix melted butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush generously over the tops and sprinkle with Parmesan.
5. Bake 15–18 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden and crisp. If they’re browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
6. Carefully lift the tops and add the shredded lettuce and a light drizzle of Italian dressing after baking. Replace the tops, slice and serve.
⭐ Helpful tip: Pat the banana peppers dry and add the lettuce and dressing only after baking. That gives you the Italian-sub flavor without making the sliders soggy.
Extra-good option: Serve additional Italian dressing on the side for dipping rather than adding too much inside.
