Keeping pieces of copper pipe in the tank will keep it clean btw. So you reduce your chemical treatment. I use a 6" piece of copper pipe in my above ground 8' pool and haven't had to treat it all summer. Just scrub the copper. Since your tank is so deep I'd recommend keeping the copper pipe tied to twine string at the top so you can easily check it/clean. But seriously do a dive on copper water purification!🥰 So cool!

I’m in a very privileged place to have it, but we have a whole home filtration system (salt based). As well as an RO tank under the sink. BEST PURCHASE EVER. We moved and sold it with the house which was one of the top selling points since our city had bad water and was on the east coast and next to a shipyard and major naval station. Where we live now it isn’t as bad and doesn’t make it necessary, but we still financed a new one. So worth it bc we also have 4x the water pressure of any of our neighbors including the showers 🙌🏼

Copper and rock filtering. Gotta build something else. Look into how romans would build like 3 pools, in a descending line, each pool had pebbles, clay/sand, and copper pipes/spouts. some would add fish.
