My momma would sometimes cry when I changed her when it was really bad. I would always make her laugh and say momma, it is just payback for all the blowouts from us kids. I really don’t mind. She would smile and laugh. She gets amazing care in skilled nursing.

I had a patient thank me over and over for being nice to him and I’m like “they aren’t all nice?” He said “no, people can be cruel” I told him no need to thank me for being nice. I told him to call me if someone was mean to him, because I was ready to ride! It’s a shame that he was thanking me, for simply being kind 🥹

we had norovirus through the care home I was working in and one lady who was firecly independent rang her buzzer which was unlike her so I went and she sobbed when she saw it was me she was like thank god it's you, I'm so embarrassed I couldn't have handled if it was anyone else. I was like girl, shit happens it's aaaaallll good. she got a shower and we did the full package she was tucked back up into bed with her radio on before I left and I told her. anything at all. ring her buzzer and I'd come back along happily.
