@kaitlinbutts: This is my favorite song I have ever written. I feel every word of it, every day. The love of the chase and the never-ending exhaustion I feel from doing something I love so much but sometimes feels like it’s killing me. Our world has become an overconsumption machine. Constant need for output, approval, success, more more more. And no matter how much you love it, some days are harder than others and it feels hard to keep up. I remember sitting in @Natalie Hemby ‘s basement hovered over Tofer Brown at the piano saying in almost a panic “I JUST WANT IT TO FEEL LIKE ITS THE END OF THE NUMBER AND YOU’RE OUT OF BREATH WITH JAZZ HANDS LOOKING TO THE CROWD GOING ‘DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?! WHAT IF THERE WAS MORE GLITTER? WHAT IF I DID IT LIKE THIS?!” I feel like we captured that. Our endless need to want to please, to be accepted, to be enough. This is for anyone out there giving it all that they’ve got. “What More Could You Want” song and official music video are both OUT NOW.
