@dariusryankadem: Next time your toddler's about to do something he shouldn't, don't tell him what his doing is wrong. The reason why you say “no no, don’t go up the slide it’s dangerous, somebody will hit in to you is becasue you think he’s too young to understand. And here's what he sees. He no longer sees this as a danger problem because the battle he needs to win is the one with you. Leaving him with two options fight or give in. The question was never whether he understands danger. It's whether he's using his foresight to make sense of the danger. Build the parent. Build the child.
