It's not DOGE, it's lax security at the Pentagon. Keep in mind, the Pentagon hasn't passed an audit in over 20 years. Neither the Pentagon nor the VA, securely protects the information of soldiers and Veterans because they are bloated and not enough eyes to watch everything. This will keep happening.

Worth remembering that this breach happened after DOGE spent months pushing past established cybersecurity guardrails, expanding privileged access, weakening oversight, and moving sensitive federal data across systems in the name of efficiency. We already had whistleblowers and watchdogs warning that those choices were creating serious vulnerabilities.
