Samantha Pohl805 :
Our team did this. It makes for a chaotic moment, but it's legal as long as the runner doesn't stop forward motion.

That casual run does not kick in anyone's instinct.

It only works on bad teams. Doing this in a game where the team you’re playing against knows they’re on a softball field playing a softball game will never work

trotting back to the dugout like you didnt just score is the perfect cherry on top. let the other team put it together and figure out what just happened as they watch +1 run get drawn up😂😂

Coach Blevins316 :
Jokes on you. My catcher is my daughter and she’s clueless. Shes tagging everybody that tries to score regardless of the situation.

My 8 year old just did this when she had to fill in emergently for the 14U team Saturday 😂. The other team ended up laughing because it was completely unintentional.

Coach or team probably saw the other team forgetting the count easy play to practice for when you catch them sleeping.

I don’t know why they don’t use this more often. I would use it all the time as a set play

Haha 2 parents barely mustering up the energy to feebly say “hey tag the runner” 😆. Hey it was a better attempt than the other players or even their coaches
