You mentioned it briefly but just for the people who don’t understand how upro rebalancing daily affects thing, ima explain it. If you invest $100 and the s&p drops by 10% upro will drop by 30% so you’ll have $70, now if the stock rallies back the 10% the next day you’ll get a 30% increase. but that increase is on your $70 so you’ll only be at $91. This means the s&p is in the exact same position as when you purchased upro and yet you’re still down 9%. Same thing happens if the s&p goes up 10% then loses 10%. the stock will be the same yet you’re down 9%, whereas if you just owned shares you be completely even. People should just understand the risk before buying into these. Personally if i wanted 3x leverage in the stock market I would use leaps :)
