Started w weight gain, hot flashes, moodiness... went on a cruise and was miserable. Came home went through Midi health and got bloodwork done. Turns out my iron was so low I had to go to hospital to get blood transfusion, and then months of iron transfusions. Also went on HRT. Ended up getting a hysterectomy... feeling better slowly

what labs did they run? I am 45 and had a partial hysterectomy when I was 26 so I wont know when I go into menopause until I start getting more symptoms but right now I am miserable mentally and physically and they just keep increasing my ssri

I’m menopausal. When I was perimenopausal HRT was not recommended to women at that time because they said we could have a heart attack and other issues. I think when many women clinicians become menopausal they took the research further and here we are today. I’m so happy for you. I can see it in your face that you are doing better.

Unbalanced hormones will make upu feel like you are losing your mind honestly. I’ve been on HRT pellets for about 15 yrs and it is such a life changer and I’ve been on a GLP1 for almost 2 years & that is a life saver also

I’m a mature woman but why does nobody talk about perimenopause? Thats when I got the hot flashes and 2 wk periods. I had to be prescribed progesterone to stop it. But…….I never even knew I went through menopause. I didn’t get mood changes with either one.
