I maintain that the Europeans would have been defeated at every single turn if it wasn’t for them just being nasty ass, disease ridden, disgusting slobs. Every ‘savage’ people they slaughtered and captured had hygiene practices far more advanced than the colonizers. They were also better at warfare and knowing the land, but can’t win a war when you’re fighting for your life with a disease your people have never been exposed to.
