When Donald Trump’s presidency finally ends, critics won’t want America to romanticize it. No mythology. No rewriting the record. No pretending the chaos, scandals and unprecedented moments somehow never happened. You cannot literally “annul” a presidency. Trump’s official records will still be preserved by the National Archives, as they should be, because history needs evidence—even when that history is deeply uncomfortable. But commemoration is different from preservation. Trump will leave office with a distinction no previous American president carried: a felony conviction on 34 counts, which remains intact while he continues appealing it. Whether he receives ceremonial honors, how prominently his portrait is displayed, how a future presidential center presents his legacy, and whether Americans celebrate or condemn his presidency are questions society will answer over time. History should not be erased. It should be documented completely. Preserve every speech. Every decision. Every court case. Every controversy. Every consequence. Then let future generations read the record for themselves. If the record is a record of shame, no amount of marble, portraits or presidential branding will be able to hide it.#CapitolyTV #WorldNews #politics #trump - @capitollytv
