This was a decade plus ago, I was in an engineering class with a guy who stopped "writting" in his imaginary notebook and started to "type" on his imaginary laptop. I still wonder what he's up to today.

not engineering but I'm a cs major and I have a professor that always comes with a tray with two cups containing white liquid probably milk and each time he takes a sip from one he takes a sip from the other cup.

engineer are low-key freak 😭... engineer at company i work with had two mode, he will never talk to you or smile or made casuall interaction during working hours but once we're outside or having lunch together suddenly he becoming a friendly and treat u like he didn't ignored the shit out of you the whole day💀 ik there's work boundaries but he's set-up we're way to freak and awkward...

Marine engineer here. One of my classmates has a whole ass PDA scanner (those androids you use at warehouses) just to play Pokemon Go without having to charge his phone all the time. Another guy coded an enthalpy calculator himself because he didn’t like the one that was available for us.
