Unlike older 15/70mm film IMAX cameras—which were notoriously bulky, loud, and limited to short roll lengths—this camera was significantly lighter, smaller, and vastly easier to maneuver. 2. Dual-65mm True 4K Native 3D The custom dual-camera rig recorded native 3D using two 65mm 4K digital sensors—one dedicated to each eye. This produced hyper-detailed left-and-right eye visuals at full 4K resolution per eye, avoiding the artifacts or depth flattened by 2D-to-3D post-conversions. 3. Expanded 1.90:1 Aspect Ratio Sequences shot using the digital IMAX 3D camera expanded vertically to fill more of the screen, switching from the standard widescreen format (2.39:1) to a 1.90:1 aspect ratio. This provided 26% more image on screen during high-octane action scenes and aerial sequences. 4.
