It’s not about not working. It’s about working to support what you love and taking time to enjoy life as it happens. Make time for yourself. Your family. It’s why you’re working. Find balance. It’s not all one thing or another. Make room for important moments that make life worth the work. Otherwise, what’s the point?

What’s the alternative when you need to eat??? You make it sound optional. 😳 Even homesteading requires a TON of work. 🤔

I work more on my days off. You’re showing leisurely activities in the video. That’s not real life man. We definitely have to make time for all that, but you also have to labor for leisure. I’m on 10 acres. That’s not much really. But it takes hard work to keep it up. I love it!

My mil died suddenly in March, less than 6 months before she was scheduled to retire. It was incredibly eye opening

That’s why you live life till 40. Then start your career. Leaving 40 years to work and die. At least you got to do everything while you still can.

I get the sentiment and for sure I don’t want to work. But I also need food and something to keep me warm and dry like a shelter and clothes. I also prefer to have access to modern medicine and the things in modern life that make life easier to live. So I guess I need to work.

@fcgotyvc4: The reality is many people cannot afford to retire and will have to work well past their 70s if they can physically or even find a job at that age which won’t pay the bills anyway due to basically no Social Security .
