@drbeckyatgoodinside: My thoughts on gentle parenting on @callherdaddy. The problem with gentle parenting isn't really the word gentle at all. It's that it usually skips this part entirely: boundaries. Somewhere along the way, a lot of us learned that validating our kid’s feelings and holding a boundary were opposites. That if we cared about how they felt, we had to bend. And if we held the line, we had to ignore how they felt. They’re not opposites. They’re two separate jobs, and you’re allowed to do both at the same time.
