@anastasiabeautyfascia: If you struggle with under-eye puffiness, don’t work only underneath your eyes. Fluid from the face has to leave the face. And while we talk a lot about lymphatic drainage, venous drainage matters too. The internal jugular veins are major pathways returning blood from the head toward the heart, and lymph from the head and neck ultimately returns to the venous circulation near the base of the neck. This is why I include this gentle self-osteopathy temporal bone technique in my drainage work. We’re working with tissue mobility around an anatomically important area rather than repeatedly pushing on the puffiness itself. The goal isn’t to physically “open” or manipulate the jugular vein. It’s to think about drainage as a whole pathway, from the tissues around your eyes all the way down through the neck. Your under-eye area is only one part of the route. Save this for the mornings when your eyes look especially puffy. 🤍
