4 days after Avery passed, I was getting a scan at the ER in my hometown. I always get something from the vending machine for my kids, they had just added packs of Pokémon cards there. Small town ER. But it played out like it was meant to be. I've never seen them in any vending machine before. I'll think of him every time, and buy a pack each time I go. Avery's legacy will live on in my home.
