In April, Ali was spared immediate custody for similar sexual offences and strictly warned to stay out of trouble. Yet by June, Ali was back online using an unregistered Snapchat alias to target what he thought was a young girl under the age of 13. In reality, he was communicating with an online decoy. Over three days, Ali repeatedly demanded naked photographs and explicit videos while sending footage of himself to coerce the supposed child into sexual activity. His defence argued he was isolated and lonely, but the court heard the previous suspended sentence had completely failed to deter him. Ali admitted five charges, including attempting to incite a child under 13 into sexual activity, sexual communication, and breaching his court orders. Judge Anthony Dunne sentenced Ali to four years and six months behind bars, a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and lifetime placement on the Sex Offenders Register. #ukcrime #uknews #courtnews #truecrimeuk #publicsafety
