I see “begs for bare minimum” a lot through these posts. This often means “doesn’t actually say anything and hopes they notice what is unsaid, then holds resentment over them when they don’t. All the while not realizing all of the things their spouse is carrying themselves without asking for a pat on the back, a trophy, or even a thank you.” Too much rewriting a narratives. #HonorTheCovenant

I disagree. I met my boyfriend 3 months after my husband and I separated. my ex met his 4 months after we separated. both of us are still with our significant others almost 2 years later. we all get along and coparent really well. we both worked on ourselves and still prioritized our son.

Not always, I was with my ex husband for 15 years begging for the bare minimum while he treated me like shit abused me emotionally and cheated many many times, I left after contemplating it for nearly 3 years because of our kids, 1 month after leaving I found my new partner (8 months in) and it’s been amazing . I wasn’t looking it just happened

He jumped into multiple relationships while we were together, embarrassed tf out of me for years until I finally got tired of being degraded and abused for hours, 🍇ed, cheated on and taken for granted. In my case, my ex was with the guy before we separated…. Tried to make it so I couldn’t see the kids and called me a deadbeat for it… I got sole custody 4 months later and the kids haven’t heard from her in 5 years… she still calls me a deadbeat which is super weird…
