I still get the same treatment as a woman on OW btw… I still regularly play both lol, the only difference is the banning/ report system is definitely a lot more of a deterrent on OW

I’ve been saying this. Like people are generally a lot nicer than they used to be and I believe they left because comms bans aren’t really big in rivals. The same reason all this stuff with rivals coming out is why ppl left Overwatch in the first place (along with marvel having a more known ip)

Not only just the most toxic part of overwatch, but the most toxic part of so many games who had players jump ship to play this new better game and comic book fans and superhero movie fans. It literally became a bomb of the worst of the worst and now it’s all blowing up

Yes! Overwatch was so toxic to me (I’m a black woman, I’ve been playing for years since launch honestly) and some of the most filthy things have been said to me on Overwatch and then years later in 2026 they saying even more wilder things. The microaggressions and macroaggressions/straight up racism/homophobia that I experience is the same. LMAO. I’m tryna get back into OW lowkey cuz Rivals on racist shit lmao.
