@faymusyattss: I push a lot of people away because sometimes it’s easier to make peace with knowing we’ll never speak again than wondering the whole time. Friends, family, relationships… all of it. The sacrifices it took to get “here” required an insane amount of dedication and understanding from the outside looking in. I’m not perfect and honestly tattooing is one of the only things that keeps me at bay. I could be having the worst fucking day, but seeing my client smile when I turn that mirror around makes everything quiet for a second. You never truly know what somebody is going through. I keep most things to myself because I feel misunderstood… or maybe sometimes I just don’t want to be understood. Tell your people you love them and appreciate them while you still can. Some people don’t have that opportunity anymore. I’m just trying to be more positive, more present, and grateful for what I have, what I’ve had, and even what I’ve lost.
