@andyfilmsandhikes: May 2022: 400 lbs, carefully making my way down this trail. September 2026: 230 lbs, apparently moving through the forest like someone gave a golden retriever caffeine. The difference is wild. I’m stronger. I can hike farther. I move differently. I’m more comfortable in my own skin. And I’m incredibly proud of the work it took to lose 170 lbs and get here. But I never want a before-and-after video to suggest that the guy on the left was somehow less worthy than the guy on the right. That guy was already doing the work. At 400 lbs, he was getting outside. He was hiking. He was fighting for his mental health. He was putting one foot in front of the other even when every step was harder. I didn’t become worthy at 230 lbs. I was worthy at 400. I’m just a whole lot more comfortable being me now. And apparently significantly more hyper in the woods. 📍 Silver Falls State Park outside Salem, Oregon, on the ancestral homelands of the Kalapuya and Molalla peoples. #MentalHealth #Hiking #WeightLossJourney #SilverFalls
