I do believe Brielle goes on to explain the host was saying it was for 2 but it was for 3 and they had a friend come over to watch a movie. But idk

my sister n her group got kicked out at 3am the first night they did a 12hr drive there n got there at midnight when the host saw them smoking in the parking lot in the bed of their truck with an ashtray like 10ft from the front door of the townhouses cause the house said no smoking. they had no place to stay n had to sleep in their car till am Airbnb opened up

Always clarify If children count towards occupancy. If the occupancy is set by local fire codes, it (almost always) counts all human bodies regardless of age. Other laws may vary, and I've seen it cause issues so many times.

I think it is important to note, theres currently a bad noreaster hitting the area. alot of roads are GONE. I think the host should've gone through Airbnb with issue but not just put them out in this

I 100% belive in telling the host if you plan on having other people stay with you at the end of the day they price the Airbnb at the price it is for a reason ,it covers not only the cost of you staying but the damages that may occur ,and you’re basically pulling a fast one if anything was to go wrong .now should th host have cameras in the Airbnb ,and not disclose them ? No ,and should she have been staying in the Airbnb without disclosing it ? Also no but that also goes to show if you do what you’re supposed to do there wouldn’t be an issue ,and this also proves that there’s yet another host out there that shouldn’t be a host

Also, of note, the occupancy situation is also a huge ordeal for your liability insurance. If something was to happen and you had, lets say 6 people in an occupancy space allotted for 4 and you knew - your insurance is going to cause problems with covering an incident.

My mom and I were staying in Air bnbs for awhile and i vividly remember one of the houses having multiple cameras inside the house that were not listed in the details, it did list the cameras outside but not the fact they’re were cameras in the kitchen, living room, and hallways pointing towards the bedrooms. The host was in fact watching us the entire time we were there because he proceeded to contact my mother to hit on her after we left. Haven’t stayed at one since.

I would say it’s not fair to blame the host for drinking when more than likely the host might have planned to drink that night, not knowing they were having to confront the guests.

It’s a fire safety law. Your allowed up to two guests per 1 bed in most places.
