There’s a scene in “Bull Durham” where things kind of click for Tim Robbins, he throws a perfect pitch, and says “Wow, that was a great. How’d I do that?” then he can’t throw another strike. That’s how I feel about Disney every time they try to “recreate what they had in Curse of the Black Pearl.”

Tonto is Spanish for "silly" or "foolish", so playing it like Captain Sparrow tracks somewhat.

I think Johnny Depp did a great job with playing Tonto and his performance is so underrated. And I never saw Captain Jack Sparrow in this movie. I only saw an updated version of Tonto. Still to me not the best Western movie but it was pretty good

I liked it. All my friends liked it. Im not sure what he’s talking about. I don’t remember peopke complaining about Depp. I remember them saying it was a flop $$ wise but that was because the cost ballooned.

No one is ever going to make a western of such an epic scale production high budget like that ever again and I applaud it just for the audacity of trying, especially the grandiose final action set peace is amazing.
