For those confused why the sift isn’t full of sculk, the sift is where souls go after mobs die, the souls would go through the ancient city portal and the good souls would be let in to the dimension and the bad souls were denied where they slowly collected together creating the sculk, that’s why the dimension is called the sift

OK, maybe I’m just not cynical enough, but am I the only one here who likes the direction modern Minecraft is going? I remember quite a few years ago seeing Ant venom make a video about Minecraft going downhill and at the time I did agree with him. But now? All the updates are interesting, it feels like Microsoft is actually listening to what we want, and some of the stuff they’re adding are things I never even thought of.

is it just me or does the sift not look like how I imagined the other side of the portal would be like? the city looks like it just had a massacre and the dimension looks jolly. extremely happy that we got a new dimension thgh

since the sift is coming to vanilla minecraft, i have a theory. what if the allay was originally from the sift? it would explain why the illagers have them! not to mention allays look like a spiritual creature of sorts and are linked to music like the sift portal is! the illagers mkre than likely created the gateway to the sift and stole them! and yk they probably wanted to harness the realm's magic so they corrupted the allays into vexes using the echo shards instead of amethyst shards!
