I mean, both can be true. You can be in an abusive dynamic with someone, whether that be physically or mentally, or esp. covert abuse and eventually be the aggressor too. It's an explanation though, not an excuse, and acting out disproportionately would be a setback for sure.

Wow! I read and watched a lot of videos on BPD, but you’re the first one who’s described aggression in a very clear way, and I can see it very clearly now with my niece who has it. I read that aggression is part of the BPD behavior, but when you focused on it like you did, it really helps to see the disorder in a better way. I wish I could show it to my niece, but most likely she would get triggered. She’s not ready for it. Anyway Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this disorder. I really appreciate it.

Very insightful. And I presume that this is also where the aggression and fear leads to blame. Blame that is sometimes emotionally reasoned or just plain inappropriate. Indefensible and relationally difficult to navigate
