@tamipawsdallas: 🚨🚨 WE NEED VOICES EVERYWHERE TO SPEAK UP FOR ROWDY — RIGHT NOW. 🚨🚨 Dallas Animal Services — PLEASE PAUSE AND REVIEW ROWDY A1298169. Rowdy is 5 years old. He came to DAS on September 7 after his owner died. 💔 And during his time there, ROWDY BECAME A SHELTER STAFF AND VOLUNTEER FAVORITE. ❤️ They knew him. 🐾 Sweet and friendly ❤️ Loved spending time with people 🎾 Loved playing in the yard 🐶 Tolerant of brief greetings with other dogs Then finally: 🏡 SEPTEMBER 24 — 6:15 PM: ROWDY WAS ADOPTED. He got his chance. Approximately THREE HOURS LATER, Rowdy was back through field pickup following a reported bite. Now? 🚨 ROWDY IS ROUTED BITE/RABIES TEST. THREE HOURS. What happened? What are the bite details? What documentation exists? What were the circumstances? Can Rowdy be quarantined while this case is fully reviewed? We aren't saying ignore a bite. WE ARE SAYING PAUSE. REVIEW. ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE AN IRREVERSIBLE DECISION. This is a dog DAS staff and volunteers knew and loved.
