Austin, I am 59 and my Hubs has cholangiocarcinoma. He is 2 1/2 years in. Stage 4. Syd was the very first person I found on TikTok when I was scrambling to find info and hear from real people about their experiences. Oh what a a gift she was to me. It must be hard to imagine people who never met Syd actually grieving her. I do. I grieve her. I experience her loss very vividly in my day to day life…like so many others here. You are not alone. Of course our grief is not the same and I am very deeply sorry for your loss. I am grateful that you and your mom continue to post when you are up to it. It helps me in a way. Now we care about you guys in real ways, too. Seriously. I come to check on both of you, now. I do it for Syd. I think she would have a very full heart to know that our care for her extends to you and your mom. Anyway, I can’t image running 26 blocks, let alone 26 miles😂, but I am over here cheering you on. Let’s goooooooo! Take care of you. We are here with you. 💚

Grief is a mysterious thing. Hits you out of nowhere and then thankfully recedes enough to give you a chance to catch your breath again. It does suck - big time. Please know you have people in your corner every day. ❤️

When you feel up to it, could you talk a little bit about the trial she was doing with the NIH? Was she too sick for it to be effective? I know her last month was really tough and if you’d rather not discuss it, I understand.
