1. we call it military time because mainly military personnel use it. and we am and pm to differentiate. 2. people dont usually clap during films thats just false 3. America is a relatively new country so our ancestry holds more weight than other countries 4. America has stricter laws when it comes to side effects, yours just hides them 5. we hate them too

First is disingenuous. We say at night if it’s pm. We clap because it’s considered a sign of respect to filmmakers. Same reason you clarify where in the UK you’re from, we take pride in our heritage. The last two are stupid so you get points for those.

I only allow the 12 hour clock when it's on the same day and the time has passed. Like "let's meet at 9" and 9am has already passed. Otherwise just say, 9 in the evening or 9 in the morning.

As a American I’ve never been to a theater where people clap and applaud, I have never heard a single soul say Irish American or anything along those lines😂 the ad one is true, and I personally don’t like a HOA, it depends on the person in America if they like a HOA or not

Very much agree with the nationality one, like I’m British, but many many years ago I had French/norman ancestry (I have a French last name) does that make me French at all? No! Not in the slightest.

Their ads are abysmal. I used to watch WWE on streams before I got BT Sport and before it moved to Netflix so I’d get the US broadcasts of it and all ads were just medication and fast food.

None of us think we’re from somewhere else. Irish-American is different from Irish - they’re different cultures. Italian-American food is different from Italian food, for example. The history is different. None of us are skipping all the years of family and cultural history between our families leaving their home country and now. We’re expressing that we’re not just American, we’re Irish-American, and the distinction is important.
