The goverment tried to discourage this but unless the tourists listen and not giving the kids the money this would continue to happen. They were trying to introduce boarding school so the kids stay at school and only coming home for weekends so hope this would stop this and child bride. The schools were only done in Sep 2026 so it would take time to see if this worked.

That’s what I though so! I was just there and I refused to buy from the kids selling because I know something’s wrong. These children like very young children are carrying a baby on their back While selling stuff. I felt so sad

We bought them drinks and snacks on the Treks instead. They were much happier when we did that instead of buying their bracelets!

I did see dancing children in Sa Pa and we stayed away but I did see tourists giving them money I can’t believe people would do that

We were watching them last night!! I was so angry to the adults 😡 those adults were standing on the side telling the kids to go to the foreigners. The clueless foreigners gives them money but the money goes to the adults who can actually work themselves but they choose to use the kids 🥲

trời ơi naày cả người dân việt nam còn thấy việc làm đó là không thể chấp nhận được mà , ai cũng thương những đứa trẻ đó , họ cố gắng không cho tiền để các em phải bỏ cuộc đi về nhưng nhìn vào ánh mắt đó xem ai cũng sẽ thấy các bé đó rất đáng thương rồi lại cho tiền để chúng được về sớm hơn , bố mẹ của các em lợi dụng các em để kiếm tiền từ sự thương hại mà , chính phủ vn họ chắc chắn biết về điều này nhưng địa phương họ sẽ nhận hối lộ để nhắm mắt làm ngơ , haizzz chả biết phải làm sao
