absolutely gorgeous. that's a brilliant idea to have a sitting area there. I have one suggestion - maybe have swivel chairs so it can face the fireplace but also turn around to chat while someone is cooking🤷♀️. ☺️

Okay but can we just thank all the home owners that let this history go on beyond their tenure. That’s pretty cool

That is so insanely cool. It's still in amazing condition for being so old. Please tell me you're going to restore it to its rightful glory and not ruining it by modernizing it.

The wood storage is a bread oven. The arm that holds the pot was invented way before the 1700’s. The fire place is beautiful!

We, as in I, want a 1700/1800s cooking series where you make meals over the open fire in a hanging cast iron pot!!!!!

Side note when you do get that fire place working I would be using that swing forged cauldron holder to make a simmer pot while the fire is going 🤤 ugh sooo amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Just to stand there, touch the brick and think how many people have touched this, how many memories those walls hold. I'm so fascinated with history. My childhood Home was built in 1794. It was an 8 bedroom home that was turned into a doctor's office early to mid 1900's, & the house next door was the funeral home.

Get chairs that swivel, so when the fireplace is working, the chairs will be functional either way!
