💥💥 Today is Exchange Student Super Saturday, where we try to find a host family for as many exchange students as we can! 💥💥 No matter where you are in the US, single, small family, big family, young family, older kids, or empty nesters, YOU can host. 🌎🌍 There are sooooo many incredible kids looking for a home for 5 or 10 months. Here are some of my favorites. I wish I could host them all! 🤩🤩 ✨Who can host?✨ Anyone! Whether you are single, have small children at home, a home filled with teenagers, or are empty nesters, anybody can host after passing a simple background check. 🏡 ✨What makes a good host family?✨ -A room in your house with a bed (they can share the room with a similar aged child already in the home or another exchange student if you choose to host two) 🛏️ -The ability to provide three meals a day 🍽️ -A quiet space to study (usually in their bedroom) 📚 -The ability to take a child to and from school (busses work great!) 🚌 -A loving and open heart ❤️❤️ ✨Why host through ASSE?✨ -You get to pick your student! You get to find the profile that feels best for you. ✅ -We have over 60 countries to choose from. 🌎 -Pick by interests, gender, country, and more. In other words, you get to choose the best match for your family! 👌 -The ability to choose a scholarship student. We have many scholarship students who have worked for YEARS to earn their exchange year. Only 2% of students earn these scholarships (Harvard has a higher acceptance rate) 🧐🤯😱 You don’t have to worry about being “entertaining” enough or “doing enough activities.” Your ordinary life is PERFECT to share with an exchange student because that’s what they are here for - regular American life. 😊😊 I’ll say it again and again - it’s one of the most wonderful, rewarding experiences my family has ever had.
